Transit Studies
There are many transit studies spanning over many years in Northwest Indiana. The RBA has participated in one major three county study that was primarily funded through a grant obtained by Congressman Visclosky in 2006. This study was performed by TransSytems, Inc.
Two other transit studies were performed recently by the Parsons Brinkerhoff Company. The first was an update and review of the 2006 TransSystem study in the Fall of 2008. The other is a Northwest Indiana Consolidation Study completed in July of 2009.
The studies are used to quide projects, planning, and ultimately, policy decisions.
